Last year, we facilitated three of our young women to travel to the Michael Long Cup and we are proud to say that we aim to do the same this year with an even larger group. We continue to encourage women of all ages with football clinics and any opportunities to further themselves. Our goal is to build a core group of ladies who are passionate about playing, to develop their skills with the support of the Big Rivers Football League and NTFL. We already have a wealth of talent and enthusiasm and hope to channel this energy to create something extraordinary.


This year we have one of our young and upcoming community members Tinalia travelling to Katherine each weekend to play for Eastside Women she is a role model and an inspiration for all.


The ladies of Nauiyu have also put together the Daly River Buffaloes Softball team we endeavor to support any sports that promote inclusion for all and lifts the community spirit.


We are grateful for the local support we receive from our community stakeholders, including the Green River Aboriginal Corporation, Nauiyu Nambiyu Aboriginal Corporation, Miriam Rose Foundation, Merrepen Arts Centre, Victoria Daly Regional Council, IronBark, Outback Stores, Member for Parliament of the Daly River Region Dheran Young (MLA), and sponsors abroad. Together, we can create something special.
